📖 BOOKS

Visually Speaking: A Companion to Public Art in Albuquerque, Friends of Public Art, Albuquerque, 2019

Produced for the City of Albuquerque’s Public Art Program, I worked with a board of directors to develop content ideas that considered the history, breadth, and importance of public art in the unique cultural context of Albuquerque. I commissioned a series of essays, and oversaw the development, editing, and design.

The Suzan Harjo Collection, Museum of Contemporary Native Art (MoCNA), Santa Fe, 2024 (forthcoming)

A forthcoming collections of essays produced for the Museum of Contemporary Native Art at the Institute for American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, contextualizing the expansive collection of Cheyenne and Hodulgee Muscogee artist and collector Suzan Harjo. I am collaborating with stakeholders at the museum, authors, and Harjo herself to shape the essay collection into a cohesive whole.

✍️ ARTICLES

An Interview with Poet Joy Harjo by Jenn Shapland, Southwest Contemporary, 2019.

Impressions from the Past: The Rich History and Modern Processes of Printmaking by Marya Errin Jones, Southwest Contemporary, 2019.

A few examples of work I edited for Southwest Contemporary during my time as managing editor there. I fielded these pitches, worked with writers to develop the stories, did developmental editing, assessed each piece for clarity and structure, and worked to clarify the text while preserving the unique voice of each author.
